As a Domain Registrar, we have a contractual obligation to assist Domain Registrants when they contact us.  This includes cases where the account holder is acting on behalf of a 3rd party and the 3rd party contacts us directly.

This is version 2019.1, published April 2019.  This policy is subject to change at any time so please check regularly for updates.

  1. General Information

    1. Where a dispute arises over payment for the registration or renewal of the domain, the domain administrator/seller can recover the outstanding payment before we will release the domain.
    2. A domain cannot be withheld where a dispute arises over payment for other fees, such as Web Design, Hosting, or Consultations.
    3. We will not release email, website or other data to the Registrant. This policy applies to the domain name only.
    4. This policy does not apply to trademark, copyright, or other legal disputes which are instead covered by our Domain Disputes Policy.
    5. We are not a legal adjudicator and cannot help with any disputes that are not directly related to a domain registration.
    6. We will review each request on a case-by-case basis to provide advice or take actions in accordance with this policy.
  2. For the domain owner/registrant

    1. First ensure you have made all effort to resolve the matter with your domain registration supplier.
    2. Confirm you do not owe any payment for the domain registration, transfer or renewal. We are unable to assist where payment for a domain has not been made.
    3. You will need to prove ownership of the domain; we are not able to assist where evidence is not provided.
    4. Where we agree to release a domain to you:
      1. you will be required to have, or open, an account with us so we can transfer the domain to your account;
      2. you will be required to pay the release fee of £25 + VAT
  3. For the account owner/administrator

    1. We will contact you using the email address we hold for your account and notify you of the request. You shall have 2 working days (the “notice period”) in which to respond to our notice.
    2. If your account is closed or pending closure, no contact shall be made, and the notice period shall not apply.
    3. Following the notice period, we will verify the ownership and entitlement of the domain name.
    4. On successful verification of ownership, the domain will be removed from your account and transferred to the Registrant.
